Ben Amrikaliyim ama Biraz Turkce Konusabilirim!

This is Truva from Maryland, East Coast Amerika! I do love learning languages- I can speak 5 foreign ones plus my native American English. I also play several rock instruments, write songs in foreign languages, and do calligraphy in different alphabets. I am not an expert on religions, but I actively follow both Christianity and Nichiren Buddhism- I read something about Buddhism every day, but I know my way around the Qu'ran as well. I am also reading the Old Testament in Spanish. I read at least 1,200 pages of written material each month- mostly in English. I am translating a novel from German into English. I speak good French and Spanish for an American. I am still more fluent in Farsi than Turkce because I started Farsi early in life. I do study Turkce at least an hour a day (Summer 2013) I've been to Western Europe three times, and I plan to be in Turkiye late 2014/early 2015, once my Turkish is fluent! I run about 20+ KM a week, and I watch movies from around the world- I also have one of the largest vinyl record collections in my part of Maryland. I am starting my own media business later this year- I am now writing the proposals and will soon have a website running. I never married, but I always wanted to be someone's husband. I'm interested in women who speak one of my languages and/or play instruments. My family comes from Mount Vernon, New York originally. My parents are still married I have two sisters, and I know all of my faraway relatives.

Insights
When raising a family, how important is it that your kids learn to speak Turkish?
Turkce dil cocuklar-ile cok onemli! If you are a Turkish speaking woman with children I hope they speak Turkce better than I can!
Describe the perfect evening.
I already answered everyone of these- it took hours- now it is lost! We are in a major world city around sunset- taking a thousand and one pictures and eating one thing from every menu we see until we've had enough. In Asia: Shanghai The Bund In Africa: Alexandria The Library In Europe: Istanbul Istiklal Caddesi In South America: Santiago Plaza de Nada In America: Seattle Fremont Avenue Close to (my)home: Soho Lower Manhattan or DuPont Circle Washington DC
Describe your perfect weekend.
To Lutheran church or the Buddhist center I play music for the Lutherans- My sisters' families, our parents and I also eat out somewhere 2 or 3 times a month. Our family is still close as adults. One sister lives nextdoor to my parents! I live 10 KM- west of them- closer to Baltimore City. I also sing in public frequently=- if you get to know me I will tell you where to find my Youtube performances.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
It has never happened to me- from a woman but I've felt it for a woman.
How many kids would you like to have?
I would only consider a woman's own children- I have lived too long to have my own in the future.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Bring everyone alive and yet to be born to the Buddha consciousness (highest level of ten worlds.)
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
What kind of experiences? Take your pick...
What do your friends like about you most?
My lifetime buddy Leary once said: "TruvaKaplan is never boring- he does not know how to be boring..."
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I get attracted to younger women...
What gets on your nerves?
Loss of memory/data, or standing on a slow moving line when I have somewhere else to be- and losing important things. Transportation that comes too late...
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Be responsible, reliable, on time, organized, and let me know where I left my keys, notebook or whatever....
What's the best age to get married?
I have passed the ideal age for me- for others: 30 for men 25 for women.
What turns you off?
With a woman- If she talks too much, is loud in public, tells public people private things, is messy, late, and down on herself. Also I do not like being next to a woman who tries to convert total strangers to her own religious beliefs- I've lived through all this already
What turns you on?
Hearing about Stories in Strange Alphabets and Dreaming in Turkish when I sleep next to someone I haven't met yet.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
(finally) Married Speaking Turkish fluently Celebrating 5 years of my new business Enshallah in Istanbul to celebrate
