tune out everyone in the crowd

So i'm here to make friends, and possibly in the process someone to date and have a relationship, if there is a connection. I'm of the opinion that relationships don't work if there isn't a solid foundation of friendship to build on. I'm interested in history, cooking and cuisine, films, sports (hockey and football), decor (antiques in particular), and the outdoors. Similar interests are great but yours don't have to be the same as mine; I'm just as interested in meeting people with ideas different from my own as I am likeminded people =]
