I still say that trying to describe yourself in a profile is like trying to suck an elephant through a straw. I’m an art, technology and philosophy professor (former electrical engineer) at one of the Loop colleges, and I have the privilege to have a career that doubles as a lifestyle. It’s a little like working two jobs; being a teacher and being an artist, writer and curator. However, I’m not too busy for someone in my life, although I’d love for you to want to hit the galleries with me. I’m very diverse, as I have a little knowledge about a lot of things, so I’m a great conversational partner. I’ve traveled from Turkey to Brazil to the Aleutians/Arctic, and all across Europe. I’m interested in almost anything except sports and motorcycles. Politically, I’m Left, and do not think about religion much at all. I love activists, intellectuals, and radical eclectics. I love almost all music except most Rap and Country (except Johnny Cash and Bob Wills). Don’t drink much, but I love to swim, work out at least a couple times a week, would like to start Tai Chi or Yoga again. TV- Loved Battlestar, 30 Rock, Firefly, The Office, Mad Men, and my favorite books lately have been the uncensored history of Area 51 and a history of Contemporary Turkish Art. Movies – I loved The Matrix and Tron, as well as Alphaville. I have a musical instrum
