Teach Me More Turkish!

HAVE JOB WILL TRAVEL! I loved living in Turkey (Adana and Ankara) and exploring that great place. I love the people and the culture. I'd like to return some day. I'm saving up right now to do just that. Meanwhile, I'm beginning to re-learn what I have forgotten of the Turkish language. Do you want an eager friend and good writer for a pen-pal, etc? Write me! Best wishes to you on this site.

Insights
When raising a family, how important is it that your kids learn to speak Turkish?
Medium importance.
Describe the perfect evening.
Driving to the beach near Antalya and spending a relaxing time shopping and bathing and water skiing. Seeing some of the ancient ruins would be great too, as well as eating a meal outside at a nice restaurant.
Describe your perfect weekend.
church, walks, the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes.
How many kids would you like to have?
My four are raised.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I'd transmit learning about the free market, and how free peoples can bring great wealth to themselves and their country. I'd help them see that more government is bad government. I'd teach people that work means happiness, and that families can be forever together.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Twice in Turkey, 21 years with the U.S. Air Force, been in 23 countries, love travel, love to sing and play the piano and play basketball. I did love Turkish culture.
What do your friends like about you most?
My positive attitude. "Everything is possible with enough work and commitment".
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I walk like my mother, a little.
What gets on your nerves?
Controlling people in families and in government. Also, angry people, and people who cannot see the beauties of our world, but concentrate on evil or the negative.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Trust, loyalty, and being true friends with your partner.
What's the best age to get married?
25
What turns you off?
Those who "try too hard to be liked. Just be yourself, and be kind. People will come to you.
What turns you on?
Smiles, self-assurance, empathy for others.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Retired for the second time.
