When raising a family, how important is it that your kids learn to speak Turkish?
It's very important that one knows where their roots are. I would like for them to be able to speak with their relatives in Turkiye someday.
Describe the perfect evening.
The perfect evening would lead to a perfect weekend after a night consisting of a sumptuous dinner and dancing followed by an unplanned trip somewhere exciting and beautiful. Yes, even a tailgate party complete with grilled shish kebabs after spending the whole day riding on a rollercoaster until we get sick is fine too!
Describe your perfect weekend.
Usually I visit my family on Sundays, but sometimes go out to the nightclub with friends Saturday nights.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Love at first sight is possible, but I've always believed that true love comes with age and experience.
How many kids would you like to have?
As much as I would love to have a houseful of children, I think I would be happy with two as long as they're healthy and at least one wants to become a dancer like me!
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
If I had magical powers, there would be no more broken hearts, no loneliness, no war, no money, no religion, and no starvation. It would truly be a perfect world.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
What happens in the past is unimportant. I like to live for the moment.
What do your friends like about you most?
My friends admire my talent as a dancer, but they also think I'm funny and very powerful.
What do your friends tease you about the most?
I only get teased about the fact that I can attract so many American men and still remain unattracted to any of them. I have very high standards.
What gets on your nerves?
I don't like people who are rude and I am not afraid to let others know that. Having good manners is important.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
It's not a question of the quantity of time spent with the other person, rather it's a question of the quality of that time. I'm much happier spending ten minutes laughing with that person than an hour of tears and fighting.
What's the best age to get married?
I was married to the love of my life before he died a few years ago. I would like to find that happiness again.
What turns you off?
I don't like being touched roughly. It scares me.
What turns you on?
I love to dance close with my partner and have him play with my hair. That tickles!
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
I'd like to see myself rested after taking a much needed vacation with my partner. It would be nice to find myself living in a house somewhere and teaching however many children I may have how to tend a rose garden.
