In their own words

gentleman scholar

I am a hard-working, serious, kind-hearted gentleman who enjoys reading, travel, art, politics, learning foreign languages, learning about foreign cultures, wine, running, working out at the gym, and dinners out or at home in good company. I believe in treating women with respect, and I agree that good manners are a sign of character. I love living abroad, and I am fascinated by Turkish culture and history. I have never married before because I have never met the right one.

Insights
When raising a family, how important is it that your kids learn to speak Turkish?
Important.
Describe the perfect evening.
Dinner at the top of the Swissotel The Bosphorus on a starlit night with a woman who captivates me with her charm, humor, and delightful company. Champagne will accompany our dinner, and I will surprise my date with beautiful flowers.
Describe your perfect weekend.
The beach when it's sunny; bookstores, museums, cultural events.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes. Chemistry is an intangible, and it often can be perceived at a glance--especially by looking at a kind face and lovely eyes.
How many kids would you like to have?
Maybe three, but I'm not sure.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I would write brilliant, insightful books that everyone would read--and then act on.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Many wonderful relationships, but I have moved around a lot and have never had a chance to meet the right one.
What do your friends like about you most?
My optimism, energy, loyalty, and good humor.
What do your friends tease you about the most?
My pet peeves.
What gets on your nerves?
Traffic, loud talkers, wasting time, bad manners.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Kindness, understanding, trust, and passion.
What's the best age to get married?
28.
What turns you off?
Aggressive, pushy, loud women.
What turns you on?
A sweet and kind personality, women who cook, and women who are very skilled at massage.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
I love my job and I would like to continue in this line of work at an even higher level.
