Looking for Companionship

Looking for an intellectually compatible, positive minded, educated, liberal woman who would participate in outdoor activities, talk, think, laugh and enjoy life's simple and finer pleasures with me. I guess I qualify as a typical engineer who loves his job and continuously strives to perfect it at every opportunity. Emotionally, I am way passed my midlife crisis. Divorce thought me a lot about my own problems and how to stop repeating past mistakes. Like many Californians I am an outdoor person. Long distance road biking, swimming, hiking and alpine skiing are my favorite regular activities. The woman I would like to meet is independent, confident (at least to disclose her real age) and happy by herself alone. What I'm looking for is, most importantly, a companionship based on respect, trust and intellectual, emotional, physical compatibility which may lead to a long term partnership, eventually. When I say that, please don't assume that I am rushing into anything. We all have some emotional load at this age. Relationships are about being there for each other emotionally and be a companion to each other while trying to realize our dreams. My woman may not have the same exact dream as me but she should be able to support me, as well as I should be able to support her, while we are achieving our dreams. Finding out compatibility in that area may take time.
