When raising a family, how important is it that your kids learn to speak Turkish?
It is as important to me as it is to them, and to their future. I would encourage them to learn Turkish, but if they want to, or if they don't want to, it is up to them.
Describe the perfect evening.
A walk along the shore, a seafood dinner with no hurry, a bit of raki and conversation.
Describe your perfect weekend.
Normally I stay home, but am open to anything. During the week I go to Cesme or Kusadasi to visit friends.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
No. But I could be wrong. And I have been.
How many kids would you like to have?
I'm flexible on it.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I think any problem I solved would create others in its place!
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Ask me and I will bore you for the entire night telling you about my past experiences. There are many.
What do your friends like about you most?
I am who I am. But then again maybe they don't really know me... But I am sometimes too honest, although at the same time sensitive to others. I have to apologize occasionally.
What do your friends tease you about the most?
My long hair. Also that I am a conservative in my political leanings... I like to laugh at myself and there is a lot to laugh about.
What gets on your nerves?
You mean today, this week, this month, or this year??? Strangely the big things don't bother me, the little things do!
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Commitment. And true love, which is a commitment. Even if I am angry with you, or you are angry with me, it doesn't change my commitment to you, or yours to me. Commitments should not change according to emotions, which always change.
What's the best age to get married?
There is none. But if there was a law about the minimum age I would set it at 25! But only from past experience...
What turns you off?
I don't know but I'll know it when I see it!
What turns you on?
A woman who has CLASS. This is something I cannot explain, but I know it when I see it. It is in a way a woman moves. The way she sits. The way she talks. The way she thinks. The way she expresses herself.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
As a successful man living in Turkey. But the definition of success is what you want it to be... If I am a good husband and a good father, I am a success. If I am a good businessman and I am happy with my business, I am a success. But in a relationship, if I have a wife who loves me and is happy with me, I am an 100% success. There is no greater success than this.
